1st Community Games

Meadowgate Park held the club’s first ever Community Games on Saturday 29 August 2026. Twenty teams entered across three sports, the pitch and the courts ran side by side from eight in the morning, and the last trophy went up in the evening.

The soccer went the distance. Six sides were drawn into two pools, and WPFC and United Wings FC-Red came through the semi-finals to meet on Pitch 1 for the five o’clock final. Thirty minutes could not separate them — 1–1 — so it went to penalties, and WPFC held their nerve to win the shootout 4–3.

Shooting volleyball had the biggest field of the day with eight teams. LSS- London and Mahal Club reached the final, a single set to 21, and LSS- London closed it out 21–15.

Smashing volleyball finished as an all-club final: PSS Club- Blue against PSS Club- Red. Blue took it in straight sets, 25–19 and 25–20.

Away from the finals the day belonged to everyone else. The kids’ races were run for the younger age groups, starting with the 60 metres, and the tug of war brought teams onto the grass beside the courts.

Every competition paid the same: $1,000 and the Champion Trophy to the winners, $600 and the Runner Up Trophy to the runners-up.
